YouTube Script - Entrepreneurial Report #4
Hey, this is month 4 update. I'm going to break this down week by week.
Week 1
Started this month trying to get an agency off the ground with the team. I made basics - like landing page and lead generation on local area event. Launched Querative on Product Hunt. Honestly, the launch was pretty mid. Got some upvotes and tried pushing it on Reddit and Hacker News, but nothing really stuck.
Did a big hackathon that week. Good for learning, but probably not great timing with everything else going on and had a friend's birthday.
Week 2
Week two was mostly marketing stuff. Added backlinks and tried to launch on different platforms. Submitted some ideas to Red Bull Basement with the team - nothing came from that. On some good news, I made the first bit of revenue from a small side gig. Not from Querative, to be clear, but money is money at this point.
Kept up with the usual self-development routine. Starting to realize how hard it is to balance everything.
Week 3
Third week - had two potential agency client meetings. One lost, one's still unclear.
Made a pretty big decision with Querative. Made it completely free. Added a donation button, but let's be real - the paid version wasn't selling. Nobody saw enough value to pay for it. Good lesson in product-market fit, I guess.
Started a Swift course on Udemy. Also, have university work in the background. And it feels like juggling too many things in one time.
Week 4
Last week was all about getting organized. Built out the whole Notion workspace for the agency. Did another hackathon, local this time. Learned how to initialize the Supabase project and what shadcn looks like, but nothing after that. I can’t do anything in 24 hours, so I decided to switch to familiar stuff - I liked the supabase and how shadcn componenets looks and might use it for future projects.
Looking at the month as a whole... it's messy. The agency isn't an agency yet - no real clients. Querative isn't taking off. But we're learning. Finding out what doesn't work is part of the process, even if it's not the fun part, and I’m running out of savings. I hope everything I do starts to click someday.
Closing thoughts
Month 5 needs to be more focused. Can't keep throwing stuff at the wall, hoping something sticks. Need to:
- Land some agency clients.
- Thinking about adding some features to Querative, but sooner or later, I need to pause its development for some time.
- Maybe slow down on learning new tech and focus on what makes money.
End
That's month 4. Not crushing, but this is what it is. See you in the next update.
