YouTube Script - Entrepreneurial Journey #5
Hi, this is the usual monthly report #5.Â
First up, what I did this month.
I started by placing ads for my web development services on a local market app. It worked—I landed my first paying client and made $100. That felt like a big milestone. I also got some potential leads from the same ad, but unfortunately, I couldn’t close those deals. It showed me that there’s demand, but I need to work on my sales skills.
On the learning side, I made progress in iOS app development. I managed to close out three full modules of the Swift course, and I feel like I’m building up a solid foundation in that area.
For the agency, I took on a practice client this month to get some experience with the team. I worked on creatives for them, which was good for hands-on learning. My team and I also decided on a new name for the agency, bought a domain for it, and opened our social media accounts—LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X. It’s a bit early, but at least those platforms are set up now.
In university, I managed to close some subjects, which was a big relief, and balancing everything is still tough.
A big highlight of the month was participating in two hackathons I talked about earlier. The first one was a major win, bringing in $1,000, and the second one added another $100. Beyond the prize money, the learning experience in the team and networking with people were valuable.
On the personal side, I launched my own Instagram and started posting consistently there, along with posts on X and my blog. It’s part of building my brand, and It’s something that I want to grow over time.
Lastly, I stayed consistent with my training and meditation. It’s something that helps me stay balanced and focused, especially when things get overwhelming.
But not everything was smooth sailing. Let’s talk about the losses this month.
The biggest challenge was not being able to convert most of the leads from my ad into paying clients. It’s frustrating because I know there’s interest, but I’m not communicating the value effectively enough. Sales is something I need to work on—badly.
The agency is another area where I’m struggling. Management and team coordination have been a mess. It feels like we’re spending too much time figuring out how to work together and not enough time doing the work. That’s something that needs to be fixed soon, or it’s going to hold us back.
Social media for the agency is also in a weird spot. We’ve got the accounts set up, but there’s no clear strategy behind them yet. They’re just kind of there, and I know that’s not enough if we want to build any kind of traction or audience.
Looking back on the month as a whole, I’d say it was a mixed bag. There were some solid wins and progress in different areas, but the challenges and inefficiencies are still a big weight on everything I’m trying to do.
For next month, I think the focus has to be on refining processes and improving execution. I can’t keep just setting things up and hoping they work. It’s time to be more intentional with how I approach the agency, my brand, and client work.
Until next time, take care, and I’ll see you in the next report.
