YouTube Script - Entrepreneurial Report #2

Table of Contents

Hey everyone. It's been a while since my last update, so it's time to share what's been happening with my "entrepreneurial" ๐Ÿ˜† journey over the past month.ย

Agency Stuff

From the last update, I didn't have any clients. So my priorities moved towards getting clients now.

First off, I decided to rebrand the agency because I didn't like the initial name I chose. New name, new domain, new logos. Spent less time on the logo and it looks decent.

I remade some parts of the website too. Set-up and connected some links and also changed the hero section image which looks good for now. Oh, and I finally got around to setting up a proper business email. Small step, but it feels a bit more professional now.

Changing Up the Business Model

Made a rethink of how I deliver services. Instead of big upfront fees, I'm moving towards a subscription model for Webflow services. I think it might make it easier for clients to get on board. I'll see how it goes.

Social Media and Outreach

Set up all the usual social media accounts for the agency - Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X but have not posted anything yet. Put together a big list of leads (about 1000+ local businesses), and made some outreach templates. Made a cold-calling script similar to what Charlie Morgan's uses. Sent cold emails and follow-ups to them. But no one responded and I guess it's normal.ย

Also started posting and asking questions on my personal X account about Indie Hacking in the Build in Public community which has supportive and kind people.

Learning New Skills

Finished a social media marketing course at HubSpot Academy. Also been diving into Next.js, after learning about micro-SaaS and indie hacking. It's opening up some interesting possibilities.

Tried out Cursor Code Editor for a bit, but ended up going back to VS Code. My coding abilities degraded a lot since I didn't code much lately. And want to recover and upgrade my skills without relying on AI entirely.

Automation and Content

Developed while using Cursor a few tools related to the agency - an automation script for website response testing (which failed, because of Cloudflare and antibot systems). Found a Python web scraper on GitHub with the Playwright library and modified it to my needs, but had to put that on hold because of Google's terms of service and manual scraping was efficient and faster. Set up a mail merge to send bulk emails and made email templates.

On the content side, wrote a couple of personal blog posts and migrated from a WordPress blog to static cms called Publii. Also, set up an AI blog for the agency with Publii. Discovered the Claude and was impressed by its responses.

Personal Stuff

Been attending an English-speaking club and went to a networking event in my city. Networking's still not my favorite thing, honestly, but it's getting easier. Made a few interesting connections, so that's something.

Wrapping Up

That's it for now. I'll be back with another update after a month. Take care.
